Meant to post this a couple of weeks go:

Next Of Kin is the plugin you don’t want to install. It handles what happens after you die.
It monitors your own visits to your wordpress system, and will send you a warning email after a number of weeks (of your choice) without a visit.

Morbid, yes, but at the same time somewhat pragmatic, non?

So now all your NoK know when you got bored of your blog and forgot to posts for a few weeks.

On the case of morbid suicide threatener’s as I assume this aimed at, a couple of weeks ago I watched a guy jump under subway train I was waiting to get on. Having seen up close and personal the absolute devastating effect that suicide has on families, my first thoughts were “what a selfish bastard”. Then I started trying to figure out why, given all the myriad of available ways to end your life, it is so common to choose jumping in front of a train. There must be some combination of factors involved, including publicity, this guy did this in the middle of rush hour on a Monday morning, talk about choosing the most inconvenient time of day for everyone else, it shut down the major subway line in Toronto. There is a clear statement that they wanted everyone to notice their death. Anyway, methinks most suicides want everyone to know as it is a general cry of torment and that no-one understands them/accepts them, anyone blogging about that it goes double for.

He probably couldn’t face going to work. Pretty common that. On his way in, thoughts of suicide existing in his head anyhow… sees a train, just thinks fuck it. Really very sad ) :

I saw a guy jump in front of the jubilee line at finchley road once when I was younger. Thoroughly awful.
