Very Dull Superbowl

4 Feb

Watched the very dull superbowl today.  What a joke: neither team could hold on to the ball, it was chucking it down with rain, and the crowd was about as unenthusiastic as I’ve ever seen at a major final.  And now Manning has his precious ring, so everyone can go back to talking about how he’s the best ever.  Yawn.

I’m just bitter because I wanted Da Bears to win, mostly because I wanted the Grossman haters to look stupid.  Instead it’s him who ended up looking stupid.

And the Chargers would have killed them.

The crowd is a always a problem at the Super Bowl because it’s nobody but rich corporate execs who are unlikely to even be fans of either team. Toss in the fact that it takes place in a random city and there isn’t even a home team. It’s strangers patting themselves on the back for being present at a game with two visiting teams. Yay!

Here’s a great shot of corporate jets fleeing Miami after the Superbowl:

Yeah, good point. That picture is awesome.

I was disappointed with the quality of the football, too. Nobody wanted to hang on to the ball, Chicago were absolutely rubbish… grossman chose the worst game of the playoffs to remember how bad he was. Just pretty boring, really. Shame.
