Having a dog is BRILLIANT!

5 Nov

I’ve wanted a dog all my life, but it’s taken me 32 years to get one. Being brought up in central London meant it just wasn’t realistic, and for various reasons I’ve not since.

Tubbs is absolutley ace though: it’s amazing how quickly we’ve adapted to having him. Walks morning and night, care taken to not leave unattended food at dog level, regular trips to Petco for all things dog, at least one plastic bag used a day. He’s a brilliant little thing (ok, not so little at 70 pounds!) with his own unique personality quirks. So much fun!

More photos to come!

Dogs are brilliant, though up here in the frozen north, the walks first thing in the morning are not something you look forward to. Oh and something I found out with Max is that low fat peanut butter inside a super hard rubber kong are the best thing on the planet as far as a dog is concerned, occupies them for hours.

We want a dog too and I guess we’ll be next.
Northumberland beaches are very nice for dog walkies.

I’m beginning to worry about you.

What does your wife have to say about it all ?

See you in 39 days (approximately) !

Thump – hehe, yeah I can see that about the cold. He’s not the best on the lead, but we’re getting there.
Mum – too right! The beach is excellent for them!
Ab – cat loves him to bits. Walks him, buys him little treats and stuff!
roach – we’ve only had him a couple of weeks, but when the time comes we’ll either take him to a doggie hotel for the week or have friends look after him for us. Tubbs would only be good for protection if the burgler tried to take his toy from him.
mot – haha. bloody cats πŸ˜‰

Check out dogster. It’s a sickness for dog lovers.

And yes, there is a catster.

    Have fun.

Marc – social network for dogs, brilliant idea. Tubbs was up there almost the first day we got him: http://www.dogster.com/pet_page.php?j=t&i=408684

I’ll have him send a pup pal invite πŸ˜‰
